- How often should I service my van?
- Most vans need a full service every year or at the manufacturer's mileage interval, whichever comes first, and many show a service reminder on the dash. - Will an independent service affect my van's warranty?
- No. Under UK block exemption rules you can have your van serviced by an independent garage without affecting the manufacturer's warranty, as long as the work follows the service schedule and uses parts and oils to the right specification. We record every job so your service history stays complete.
- My van has an AdBlue warning. Can you fix it?
- Yes. AdBlue faults are one of the most common reasons vans come to us. The cause is often a failed sensor, pump, heater or a blocked injector rather than the fluid level. We test the system properly, find the failed part and quote the repair before we start. Do not leave it, as the van may not restart once the countdown ends.
- Do I need to take out my racking or ply-lining?
- No. For a service, an MOT and most repairs we work around racking, ply-lining and roof bars. Please take out loose tools and stock where you can so we can reach everything safely. If a job needs something moved, we will tell you when you book.
- Can I combine a van service and MOT in one visit?
- Yes, and we recommend it for working vans. We are approved for Class 4 and Class 7 MOTs, so we can test any van up to 3,500kg. Doing both together means the van is off the road once, and any small items the service finds can be sorted before the test.
- Do you look after small business fleets?
- Yes. We look after single vans for sole traders and several vans for small businesses, with a clear invoice for each job. Tell us how many vans you run and how they are used, and we will help plan services and MOTs so they are not all off the road at once.
