Common questions
- How do I know if my wheel alignment is off?
- Common signs are pulling to one side, a steering wheel that sits crooked when driving straight, or uneven tyre wear — one edge wearing faster than the other. We confirm with a four-wheel alignment check on our Pro42 alignment system.
- When should I get wheel alignment checked?
- After hitting a kerb or pothole hard, after any suspension or steering component replacement, or any time tyres show uneven wear. We also recommend checking annually as a preventative measure — misaligned wheels add up in tyre costs.
- Is wheel alignment the same as wheel balancing?
- No. Alignment corrects the angle of the wheels relative to the road and each other. Balancing corrects weight distribution within the wheel and tyre assembly. Both can cause uneven wear and handling issues, but they are separate jobs requiring different equipment.
- Do I need four-wheel alignment or just front tracking?
- Most modern cars need four-wheel alignment — front-only tracking misses the rear axle, which has its own adjustments and directly affects how the front aligns. We measure all four corners as standard so the full picture is correct.
