Why book with us
Citroën Van Servicing & Repairs Brierley Hill with clear advice.
Citroën vans cover every size of job, from the Berlingo that carries a plumber's kit to the Dispatch and the big Relay used by builders, removal firms and couriers. We look after all of them at our Talbots Lane workshop, servicing, finding warning lights, replacing clutches and doing brakes, suspension and steering work for traders and small fleets in Brierley Hill and Dudley.
Citroën vans share their engines with Peugeot, so their weak spots are well known. Older Berlingos use a filter additive that runs low over time, and the 1.6 HDi can starve its turbo of oil if the feed blocks. Later BlueHDi vans use AdBlue, and the combined tank and pump is a common failure. Heavily loaded Relays get through clutches faster than most vans.
We use professional diagnostic equipment that reads Citroën fault codes across every module, including the additive and AdBlue systems, and we confirm with live data before we quote. Stefan built this workshop on finding faults other garages miss. For you, that means the right part first time, a bill you understand and fewer days with the van parked up instead of out earning.
Before any work starts we ring you with a clear quote and say what is urgent and what can wait. Nothing goes ahead without your approval. Racking and ply-lining can stay in for servicing and most repairs. Nick and Stefan have run the workshop since 2019, and van drivers from Stourbridge, Kingswinford and Halesowen come back because the advice is honest.
We are approved for both Class 4 and Class 7 MOTs. Berlingos and most Dispatches take Class 4, which covers vans up to 3,000kg, and the 3.5 tonne Relay takes Class 7. We test them all here and can usually fit the service in the same visit. Call us on 07494 990846. We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 2pm.

Common questions
- How often should my Citroën van be serviced?
- Most Citroën vans have a yearly or mileage-based service shown by a reminder on the dash. A working van carrying weight, doing high miles or making lots of short trips is better serviced on time with the correct low-ash oil to protect the particulate filter. Give us your registration and we will check the schedule.
- Can you MOT a Citroën Relay?
- Yes. Most Relays are plated at 3,500kg design gross weight and need a Class 7 MOT, which we are approved to carry out. Berlingos and lighter Dispatches up to 3,000kg take a Class 4 test, which we also do. The plated weight is shown on the manufacturer's plate and your V5C.
- My Dispatch says AdBlue fault and is counting down. What now?
- Book it in as soon as you can, because at zero the van will not restart. On the Dispatch the AdBlue tank and pump are one unit, and it is a known failure. We test the system, confirm which part has failed and give you a clear quote before any work starts.
- Why did the turbo fail on my Berlingo?
- On the 1.6 HDi a common cause is a blocked oil feed to the turbo, often from carbon build-up. If only the turbo is replaced, the new one can fail the same way. We check the oil feed and the cause of the blockage as part of the job, so the repair lasts.
- Do you work on the electric e-Berlingo and e-Dispatch?
- Yes, for servicing, brakes, suspension, tyres, the 12-volt battery and diagnostic work. Electric vans still need regular checks, and their brakes can corrode because regenerative braking means the pads are used less. Tell us it is electric when you book so we can plan for it.
- Will an independent service affect my van's warranty?
- No. Under UK block exemption rules you can have a van serviced by an independent garage without affecting the manufacturer's warranty, as long as the work follows the service schedule and uses parts and oils to the right specification. We record every job so your service history stays complete for warranty claims and for when you come to sell the van.
- Do I need to take out my racking or ply-lining?
- No. For a service, an MOT and most repairs we work around racking, ply-lining and roof bars. Please take out loose tools and stock where you can, so we can reach everything safely and nothing goes missing. If a particular job means something has to come out, we will tell you when you book.
- Where are you and which areas do you cover?
- We are on Talbots Lane in Brierley Hill, DY5 2YX. We look after Citroën vans from Brierley Hill, Dudley, Stourbridge, Kingswinford, Halesowen and the surrounding Black Country. Call 07494 990846 to book. We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 2pm.
- Will you start work without asking me?
- Never. We inspect the van, find the cause and ring you with a clear quote before any parts are ordered or any work starts. We tell you what needs doing now for safety and what can wait until a quieter week, so you can plan the cost around your work. Nothing is added to the bill without your say-so.
